Issue No 41

This year, PSS celebrated Pharmacy Week differently. We did not host a "big bang" event like we had in the past; instead, all pharmacists celebrated the week in their own setting while maintaining a common identity.

Avoiding drug interactions, tips to avoid problems. Some tips from US FDA. The full reference can be found here.

I would like to thank Gail Chang for nominating me, thank PSS and ICM Pharma for sponsoring this award and Mr Koe Khoon Poh and Ms Lita Chew who interviewed and awarded me with this honor. I’m deeply humbled.  Next, I am grateful to the National University of Singapore, the ever loving mentoring by our lecturers, especially Prof.

I would like to thank PSS for presenting me this prestigious award. This would not be mine without my fellow colleagues in Guardian for supporting me in the community projects. I would also like to thank my Pharmacy Director, Mrs Choo Wai Lin and my Assistant Pharmacy Practice Manager, Mr Ivan Chew for their kind guidance and support.

If anyone would ask me what I have learnt in my hospital career, I would sum up the last couple of years in 4 significant lessons. I hope that in reading this, you too would form your own opinions and feed them back to me. Any thoughts or comments are appreciated. :)

This year, I had the honour of being nominated and awarded the prestigious Professor Lucy Wan Outstanding Pharmacist Award 2008.

On behalf of the Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore’s Council and Secretariat, we would like to wish our members Selamat Hari Raya Haji, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2009.
