I would like to thank PSS for presenting me this prestigious award. This would not be mine without my fellow colleagues in Guardian for supporting me in the community projects. I would also like to thank my Pharmacy Director, Mrs Choo Wai Lin and my Assistant Pharmacy Practice Manager, Mr Ivan Chew for their kind guidance and support.

n the coming years, I hope to encourage and urge my fellow colleagues to be more active in community projects although this may require the sacrifice of their personal time. As a community pharmacist, there is so much we can contribute to help improve the healthcare system in Singapore. For example, in controlling the alarming rate of anti-microbial resistance in Singapore, as well as empowering the public with the knowledge of medication usage and selection.
In addition, I certainly hope to urge our community pharmacist to collaborate closely with our fellow colleagues from the hospital sector, legislation sector, pharmaceutical industries, health promotion board and ministry of health to improve healthcare more effectively and efficiently in Singapore, for the benefits of our patients.
