Haze is a sign of air pollution by fine particles (consisting of microscopic solid or liquid droplets). When these particles enter your lungs, they may pose severe health problems, for example:
• worsening of heart or lung disease
• heart attacks
• irregular heartbeat
• worsening of asthma
• symptoms, such as throat irritation, coughing or difficulty breathing

What is avian influenza H7N9?
Avian influenza refers to a group of viruses that usually infect birds. Certain avian influenza viruses are known to spread to humans via contact with diseased poultry. The H7N9 is a particular type of avian influenza virus that has only been recently discovered in China. It is known to cause serious infections in humans.
What are the symptoms of H7N9 infection in humans?
Dengue Alert
Dengue is a mosquito-borne disease caused by viruses. Infected person may present with high fever, headache, joint pain and rashes. In severe cases, the person may need hospitalization.
National Environment Agency (NEA) updates the number of dengue cases in Singapore frequently. As of 10May 2013, there are a total of 6396 dengue cases in this year alone.
