Mrs Chew previously served as COO of the hospital from March 2010 to March 2012. From 2000 to 2009, Mrs Chew was Chief Operating Officer in Alexandra Hospital. She was a key member of the team that led change management at Alexandra Hospital in 2000. Prior to joining Alexandra Hospital, Mrs Chew worked in Guardian Pharmacy and the National University Hospital. She managed retail pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, pharmaceutical warehousing, distribution, overseas purchasing, advertising and promotion as well as clinical support and ambulatory services.

Mrs Chew is a pharmacist by training and has been the pioneering force behind the transformation of pharmacy practice from the old era of public system to the restructured system which we are more familiar with today.
