  • H1N1 Vaccines Reach Singapore Shore
    MOH has secured one million doses of the H1N1 vaccine. The first batch of 200,000 doses of H1N1 vaccine has arrived on 30th Oct and full delivery is expected by year end. The total amount is more than the usual seasonal flu demand of 400,000 doses. There should be enough vaccine for all who need it. If more is needed, MOH will increase the order.   • Positive Results for H1N1 Vaccines
    With fears of the recently announced H1N1 pandemic wreak havoc during the winter months in northern hemisphere, many pharma companies have fast-tracked their development projects for the H1N1 vaccines. Sanofi Pasteur has recently announced the favourable outcome of their single dose of influenza A (H1N1) 2009 monovalent vaccines trialed on both children & adults in Europe.

 

 

  • Medtronic opens regional HQ in Singapore
    Medtronics – one of the world's largest medical technology companies – has announce it’s significant operational investments in Singapore by opening its regional HQ in Singapore to oversee the Asia and international (Latin America, Canada, Europe, Asia, Africa and Middle East, Australia) operations, and also additional manufacturing capacity to meet the growing business volumes in Asia. The high-tech manufacturing facilities will cost S$80 million to build and be ready for production by the turn of 2011. About 100 jobs are expected to be created in the process.
