A far-away friend of mine, Sabine Minne from Lyon, France, has been working on a video depicting the business or trades of pharmacy in France. The video made its first debut in French as “les métiers de pharmacien”; but recently she has successfully translated the video into something more familiar to us, ie. in English language :-)

The video provides a very interesting and insightful snapshot into what a community pharmacy practice in particular, and pharmacy profession in general, are like in France. I particularly enjoy the breadth and the depth of community involvement and services provided.  She also depicted the role of pharmacists in other sectors which are quite useful for us to ponder further what else service innovation can really mean! It has been quite a project pulling together a one-hour story in video and to cover a wide range of services. I’d like to congratulate Sabine and her team for making this a reality despite the busy practice she and her husband run at Pharmacie de la Gare. Merci beaucoup chère Sabine !
