Two years ago, when the 22nd FAPA Congress came to Singapore, it was the maiden FAPA Congress hosted by PSS 44 years after FAPA's inception in 1964. During the Congress, our Past President - Camilla Wong - was awarded the Ishidate Award, that was yet another achievement as she is the first ever Ishidate Awardee from Singapore.

Two years on, the 23rd FAPA Congress was recently concluded in Taipei with a new set of leadership being elected to lead this pan-Asian pharmacists' associations. This time, Singapore pharmacist has again achieved the first in the FAPA circle.

We are pleased to announce that our Immediate Past-President - Ng Cheng Tiang - was voted to be one of the Vice Presidents amidst competitive nominations from a number of other Asian and Australian countries, making him the first ever pharmacist from Singapore to be elected into this Asia-wide pharmaceutical professional body.
