The much anticipated 9th Asian Conference on Clinical Pharmacy was held in Seoul at the COEX from 26-27 Sep., 2009.
Singapore sent the biggest delegation yet in anticipation of the next one to be hosted by PSS in 2010. PSS’ involvement with ACCP started in 2006 at a country level when our Past President, Ng Cheng Tiang, participated and represented the event on behalf of Singapore under PSS banner. Since then, PSS contingent has attended the 2007 ACCP in Shanghai; 2008 ACCP in Surabaya and now the recently concluded one in Seoul. The possibility to host the ACCP in Singapore was mentioned in Bangkok and the intention was made clear in Shanghai.
With next year’s event to be hosted in Singapore, the organizing committee has been formed under the charge of Dr. Alex Chan. Major part of the delegation attending ACCP in Seoul has been the organizing committee who helped to promote next year’s event in Singapore at the booth where various activities and games were played. A number of Singapore delegate were also involved with the plenary and breakout presentation, chairing the plenary session and also poster presentation.
At the closing of the 9th ACCP, the host kindly provided about 10-minute airtime for PSS to thank the ACCP currently presided by Dr. Shin Wan Gyoon for showcasing a great event and to invite delegates to come to attend Singapore’s maiden ACCP in 2010.
