PSS is proud to acknowledge and congratulate our Past President Dr Camilla Wong being promoted to Deputy Director for the Allied Health Division in SGH. In addition, Camilla holds the portfolio for Clinical Governance at the Allied Health Division level. Her role at this level is to develop a robust framework that will provide oversight on the quality of services rendered, including the initiation of timely, quality improvement initiatives and ensuring safe delivery of patient care through proper risk management.

Concurrently, Dr. Wong continues to provide clinical services at the ICUs and is in-charge of the Pharmacy department’s Clinical Pharmacy Services. This includes planning for new services and appropriate education and training of staff, to ensure minimum competency levels of practice.

Camilla has accumulated 15 years of experience in hospital pharmacy since she obtained her B.Pharm. from the Curtin University of Technology, Australia; and subsequent Pharm. D. from Albany College of Pharmacy, USA. Other honours and recognition Camilla has earned throughout her career included the Professor Lucy Wan, Outstanding Pharmacist of the Year Award in 2006; and during the 2008 Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations Congress, she made history for being the first ever Singapore pharmacist to be awarded the FAPA Ishidate Award for hospital pharmacy.
