Come end of this month, representatives from a UK university will be in Singapore to discuss the possibilities of collaboration with PSS.  The potential areas of collaboration will cover the specialties in the drug regulatory sciences and related industrial field.

PSS members and pharmacists working in this practice sector constitutes a significant portion of PSS membership, and thus providing professional advancement programmes in these fields of practice would naturally be a value-added service PSS could offer to our membership. To this end, we have been in close contact with the UK group since our last meeting in 2008 FIP in Basel. Follow up efforts have been made with another meeting taking place in UK to advance these possibilities and bring in some development and upgrading programmes to Singapore. With this move, our aim is to bring some advancement courses and programmes to enable our members and professionals in Singapore in general in pursue foreign accredited development & upgrading programmes without having to leave Singapore. This will

a). help reduce the cash outlay for having to travel overseas for the programme; and
b). avoid disruption to their current employment/job thereby ensuring continuity of your career planning.

If you are interested to obtain more information about any of the programmes, or to simply want to be part of the working group to champion this initiative, kindly get in touch with our secretariat and quote to them “PSS Professional D&U Project” or email to webmaster@pss.org.sg
