In April bulletin, I have introduced you to my fellow council members. Over the next few months, we will be sharing some of the initiatives we would be carrying out to meet our strategic plans
This issue, I wish to highlight the effort by our Hospital Chapter Committee headed by council member, Ms Doreen Tan Su-Yin. There are representatives from public as well as private hospitals. The following are the committee members:

The Hospital Chapter aims to do team building among hospitals pharmacist, create an expert panel of pharmacists that can be tapped by fellow pharmacists or society for specialist advice. In addition, they would take the opportunity to work closely with community and industry pharmacist on relevant clinical areas and pharmacy week activities. Last but not the least, the committee will also be looking at getting professional indemnity insurance for our pharmacists.

At the event, the will be launching the list serve for hospital pharmacists where it could be a forum for discussion among pharmacists.
I wish to extend my sincere appreciation to Ms Doreen Tan and all the committee members for driving the various initiatives. My sincere appreciation also goes to all other committees in PSS. For that few who come out to serve, the society as whole benefits. Imagine the outcomes if more came forward.
Next month, we would share the initiatives from Community Chapter followed by the Industry Chapter. Please also give us your feedback or suggestions.
As part of “Meet the Pharmacists” session, I have started my first meeting or sharing with Pharmacist from Watson Pharmacy on 11 July 2008.
1st – 4th July 2008, 7 pharmacists from Singapore attended the Asian Conference of Clinical Pharmacy. We successfully bid for hosting the conference in 2010. Read more in this issue of e-bulletin.
