Here's a message specially for our PSS Student Members. It came from School of Pharmacy, University of Auckland (UoA) on Visualising Issues on Pharmacy (VIP) Project.
Dear everyone,
I’d like to inform you of a very exciting project that our team here at the Pharmacy school are working on this year. The project is entitled Visualising Issues in Pharmacy (VIP) 2007, written in collaboration with the College of Fine Arts (UNSW) and hosted by The Omnium Project.
In a brief overview: over 50 pharmacy students and 50 design students will join forces for three months, with project convenors, teachers and special guests worldwide, to work collaboratively within a fully online learning environment. The participants will receive regular feedback and support from peers, teachers and established professionals, using the Internet as their sole communication tool.
VIP will enable students to discuss their ideas online and produce research reports on important health issues such as adherence to medicines, chronic disease, malaria, TB, immunisation and STDs. On completion of their research the pharmacy students will use their detailed reports to brief the graphic design students to aide with the generation of visual health awareness campaigns. The location selected for this project is the Nyanza province of Kenya.
