Pharmacy Week 2022 took place from 19 to 25 September 2022 with a health carnival held on 24 September 2022 at Nee Soon East Seniors’ Hub. The theme for Pharmacy Week this year is “Empowering A Healthier You”, emphasising on the importance of holistic health ownership encompassing medications, fitness and diet, which is in line with the Ministry of Health’s population health strategy, HealthierSG.
For the first time, there was a cooking demonstration and a fitness class held at the carnival on top of engaging health talks! More than 600 members of the public turned up for the carnival and participated in the exciting programmes and activities. There were also interactive booths to educate the public on health information. The carnival was streamed online to further reach out to more members of the public and there were about 200 virtual participants.
Leading up to Pharmacy Week 2022, there were fringe activities such as the “Ask Your Pharmacist!” programme, multi-disciplinary project features, pharmacist video features, “Pharm Fact Friday” series and more. These engaging materials can be found on our official event website https://www.psspharmacyweek.com. Our online engagement and publicity efforts were met with a resounding success of an estimated 250,000 reach! Positive feedback were received from participants in the “Ask Your Pharmacist!” programme, as well as the value-add of the social media content.
A successful Pharmacy Week was only made possible with the support from our partners, volunteers, sponsors and most of all, our 27-man strong organising committee. Happy Pharmacy Week Everyone!
