[Issue No. 172] PSS E-Bulletin January 2021

The COVID–19 pandemic has created unprecedented opportunities for us to change the way we deliver healthcare to our patients. In the final feature of this Clinical Update series, we are honoured to have Mr Nicholas Teo Shao Wei from KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) to share his experience with Dermatology video consultations as part of his work.

Since 2004, and as mandated by World Anti-Doping Code, World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) publishes an annual List of Prohibited Substances and Methods (List). The List, which forms one of the six International Standards, identifies the substances and methods prohibited in- and out-of-competition, and in particular sports. The substances and methods on the List are classified by different categories (e.g., steroids, stimulants, gene doping). This prohibited list is applicable to athletes who represent Singapore in competitions which also includes recreational athletes.
