5th Sep 2015 marked a very special Saturday where retail pharmacists gathered to hear, learn and practise the secrets of the succe$$ story of Guardian Pharmacies while under Mrs Pauline Ong and her Dream Team of Pharmacists! The full-day programme was fully subscribed and all participants were enriched with practical knowledge not taught in the classroom!

During the first half of the day, Mrs Ong brought participants back to basics with the tools she had used, shared insights on $ucce$$ful $ite $election by experienced pharmacists, how pharmacists can drive buying and operation$, choosing the dream team with the human resources department, pharmacists Managing $upplier$: Layout, Store Range, Product differentiation for Win: Win and how the Pharmacist is still the $till the Be$t professional primary healthcare expert!

Participants had a valuable lesson from Ms Corina Lai, a qualified accountant and Mrs Ong's special guest (a part of the Guardian Dream Team), on calculating the bu$$ine$$ and profit$ of $tore – Each Day, Month and Year!

During the second half of the day, members of Mrs Ong's dream team shared their learning journey and experience with participants.

There was a breakout session after tea and particpants grouped to discuss how pharmacists can facilitate care in the community and what kind of services pharmacists can offer. It was a lively presentation with feedback from Mrs Pauline Ong and Asst Prof Lita Chew.

A video recording will be made available to participants, compliments from Mrs Ong and PSS. 

This special programme was organised by PSS and brought together leaders of the profession and retail pharmacists in an intense full day workshop. We are very grateful to Asst Prof Lita Chew, Chief Pharmacist, Assoc Prof Chui Wai Keung, Head, NUS Pharmacy for particpating in this session. PSS is indebted to Mrs Pauline Ong for planning, speaking and facilitating this workshop which provided numerous insights into the successful running of a retail pharmacy and how to be a pharmacist who is INSIDE and OUT and ABOVE ALL!
