A new batch of CPTC graduates received their WSQ full qualifications recently. A ceremony was held on 02-Feb-2012 to mark this special occcasion in the presence of

fellow colleagues, their parents, Pharmacy Managers, PSS Secretariat and of course the CPTC trainers and coordinator.

Gracing the event was PSS President - Ms. Christine Teng - who congratulated the CPTC graduates who have put in considerable efforts to complete this part-time programme that lasted nearly one full year.
Achieving WSQ certification in the CPTC now represents a nationally recognized qualification in accordance with  Singapore Workforce Agency's (WDA) standards; in addition to the established recognition conferred by the Pharmacy Profession and delivered by the PSS instructional methods which have been well-tested and adopted by the profession for the past 19th consecutive run of the Course.
In his congratulatory speech, the CPTC Coordinator and PSS Past President - Mr. Ng Cheng Tiang-  welcomed the new batch of graduates to the CPTC family and encouraged the PTs to come forward and provide inputs to further improve the programme to make it more relevant, in sync with the changing nature of the pharmacy practice and technology.
He also suggested that the PT should form a grouping so that their valuable professional contribution can be better recognized and at the same time foster greater interaction amongst the growing PT team which now estimated to be some 700 strong in Singapore.  A more syndicated forum would be useful and PSS would be happy to provide any assistance to facilitate the possibility and the platform for that purpose and activities to take place.
The graduation ceremony for the 19th CPTC was held in Arthur Lim Auditorium and dinner was served for the graduates, their family and friends, pharmacists, the CPTC trainers to mingle.
On behalf of PSS, we would like to again congratulate the graduates and also to thank the hardwork put in by the PSS Secretariat, especially Training Manager - Ms. Cecilia Chua - who has been the familiar face in the CPTC programme. Well done folks and keep it up !
