Since the inception of the Certified Pharmacy Technician Course (CPTC) more than 17 years ago, PSS has been delivering this training programme for supporting staff working in hospital and retail pharmacies.
From Oct 2009 onwards, the CPTC was ported over to align with the national standard aka Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) under accreditation by Workforce Development Agency.
That is an important milestone and transition for PSS to become a full-fledge WDA-Approved Training Organisation. One year on, we are proud to present the first two batches of trainees who successfully completed and graduated under this new training scheme.
To mark this special milestone, PSS organized a graduation ceremony on 28-Dec-2010 to celebrate and commemorate this significant moment for the trainees, their family, their employers, all the trainers and assessors; not forgetting the other important stakeholders in the WDA, MOH & SPC, pharmacy managers and PSS volunteers and staff who have worked tirelessly to bring this WSQ training programme into fruition. To all the graduates, our heartiest congratulations and hope the idea of building a PT Alumni could be take up as challenge in earnest!
The next intake of CPTC (Intake No. 19) will commence on 05-Jan-2011. We will be rolling out Intake No. 20 soon. Do keep a look out for the commencement and announcement in PSS website.
