PSS would like to wish all our Chinese members a very prosperous and healthy Chinese New Year!

 

Congratulations to the graduates of the 22nd and 23rd Certified Pharmacy Technician Course (CPTC)

PSS held the graduation ceremony on 20 December 2013 for our 32 graduates of the 22nd and 23rd CPTC. The graduates had successfully completed a total of 10 modules which comprised 342 training hours on top of their daily work. Kudos to them for this acheivement! We hope they have very fulfillilng careers. PSS would also like to thank all the CPTC trainers for their dedication and commitment.

Want to be involved in training the next generation of Pharmacy Technicians? Join us and be part of the team! Besides attrative remuneration, more importantly, you can look forward to a rewarding and enriching stint as one of our trainers!

Requirements:- 

- Able to teach one or more modules to be conducted in the evenings

- Registered pharmacist with at least 5 years of experience as a pharmacist

- Preferably 3 years if training experience in healthcare industry

- Should possess full ACTA qualification, For those who are not ACTA trained, you must be willilng to attend ACTA training and complete it within 9 months

"JUST ASK" Know Your Medicines, Get It Right!

Do look out for our "JUST ASK" panels on MRT trains if you are travelling the North-South or East-West Line. To continue with the momentum of Pharmacy Week 2013 held in October last year, we are going to continue to feature the "JUST ASK" message for another two weeks starting 23 Jan 2014!

 

Volunteers needed for "Know Your Medicines, Get It Right! @Northwest 2014"

This event is organized by NUSPS Essential Medicines (the voluntary wing of NUSPS) in collaboration with PSS and Northwest Community Development Council. The event will include basic health screenig (BMI, blood pressure and blood glucose), followed by medication review. The target number of participants is 120 elderly residents living in Zhenghua constituency. You may wish to have a look at the photos at our previous event to learn more!

The event details are as follows:-

Date: 22 February 2014 (Saturday)

Time: 0945 - 1400 hours

Venue: Linkhouse at Block 633 Senja Road (next to West View Primary School), Singapore 670633

Guest of Honour: Mr Liang Eng Hwa, Member of Parliament for Holland-Bukit Timah GRC

Lunch and refreshments will be provided for volunteers.
