PSS Infectious Diseases Special Interest Group (ID SIG) Workshop on 26 Nov 2016

After a series of continual education sessions and a pre-congress workshop on managing common infections for pharmacists involved in intermediate and long term care, the Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore Infectious Disease Special Interest Group (ID SIG) had wrapped up the year of 2016 with an inaugural advanced ID workshop catered for pharmacists currently practicing in this field. Invited speakers were ID consultant Dr Shawn Vasoo from Tan Tock Seng Hospital and senior pharmacist Ms Wu Jia En from National University Health System, who is actively involved in antimicrobial stewardship. The workshop was well received with a turnout of 26 participants from various institutions. We gained deeper insights to the interpretation of minimum inhibitory concentrations and were taken through case examples of how to utilize the information to make the most optimal treatment recommendations.

We will certainly have more exciting programs planned for 2017, see you at our next CE/ workshop!
