P-Medicine Programme Announcement Print E-mail

Dear Fellow pharmacists,

Thanks for being part of the P-Medicines programme for the past 6 months! I trust that the road of continuous improvement of knowledge has been fruitful and you have derived good values for your practice!

(I) Enhancements to P-medicines Programme

In view of the tight work schedule of our pharmacists, pharmacists who have signed up for the P-medicines package of 6 modules, you will be allowed to select the modules based on your interest and schedule.  The 6 lectures must be utitlised within 18 months after your sign-up date.

For those who have signed up for the P-medicines package prior to January 2007, PSS have been sending the module materials to you if you were unable to attend the lectures personally.  We would like to extend 2 options to this group:

Option Arrangement
A Continue with old arrangement: you will need to attend the lectures in a consecutive wayPSS would continue sending module materials if you did not attend the lectures
B Able to select any 6 modules within 18 months of your initial sign up date.  For those lectures which you have not attended, you would already received the module materials. It will be considered as 1 module already utilized.  No replacement lectures will be given.

Please kindly indicate your preferred options by 18th April 2007 (Wednesday) via email ( This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it ) or fax to PSS at 6223 0969 with the reply slip below. The P-medicine program will be expanded to incorporate more modules, like nicotine replacement therapy and insulin therapy (see attached for tentative schedule).

(II)        CPE Points

Scenario CE Points Point Updates by
Attendance of lecture and completion of MCQs  2 CPE points (under category 1B: Local Event)  PSS
Self study of materials and completion of MCQs  1 CPE point (under category 3A: self-study) Self

Reminder: for those who were sent module materials for the past modules when you were unable to attend the lectures, please remember to log in your 1 CPE point under category 3A.

(III)       Format of MCQ Review Questions

Due to the feedback from pharmacists, there would be only 1 set of multiple-choice test questions, instead of 3 sets, like what we have previously.

(IV)            Registration for each P-Medicines Module

If you have signed up for the package, you would still need to register for each session that you would like to attend.  This will facilitate PSS in logistics arrangements like printing of materials and catering purposes.

Do feel free to contact Edira / Grace at 6221 1136 or This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it if you have any other queries.

Thanks for your kind attention! Let’s work together toward even higher professional standard!
