One of our members, Ms. Lita Chew of National Cancer Centre, was presented with the 2006 APOPC Outstanding Pharmacist on Oncology Pharmacy Practice Award.

The 1st APOPC or Asia-Pacific Oncology Pharmacy Congress was held recently in Bangkok. APOPC is an unofficial, regional grouping of pharmacists with special interest in oncological pharmacy practice. Singapore has been one of the active and founding members of this movement.

We would like to take this opportunity to highlight Ms. Lita Chew achievement and congratulate her for being the first three persons in Asia-Pacific to be given this recognition and honour.

Lita has been no stranger to many of us as she has been a very active member of PSS with numerous contribution to the profession not just in Singapore, but increasingly in the region as well.
