| A Special Tribute to Professor Lucy Wan |

In the recently concluded 18th Singapore Pharmacy Congress, PSS paid a special tribute to Professor Lucy Wan, a giant in pharmacy education who spent more than 30 years of her illustrious career not just teaching, but guiding and mentoring many many pharmacists. Many of the audience present on the Opening Ceremony were once her students whom Prof. Lucy Wan in her acceptance speech called them "friends" Reading the citation for the tribute, A/Prof. Chan Lai Wah paid homage to this special lady who has inspired many pharmacists deeply, not least herself personally. It has been a rare opportunity being able to pay tribute to someone so special in the history of PSS. We are really honoured and proud to have a teacher, mentor, Fellow Member of PSS and an everlasting friend.

Prof Lucy's notes on the making of stable emulsion and suppositories must have been forgotten through the years.However her inspiration,spirit and guidance on what it entails in this profession has imbued her fellow students a great passion and indepth understanding of its impact in the medical and healthcare industry.
