Introducing Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore 's first interactive children publication : 'What's Wrong With Oscar?"

"Being sick can be a difficult and scary experience especially for children when they do not understand what is happening to them."

This fully-coloured book will allow your kids to enjoy reading and learning all about medicine in a fun and interactive manner.

Besides educating children about the importance of taking medicine in the proper dosage, it also shows how medicine can help to restore them to a state of good health when they are sick.

Plus it includes useful tips on safe medicine use for parents, as well as an activity page for children.

    The Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore is proud to launch a series of Self-Care cards, the first of its kind in Singapore at the Pharmacy Week on the 16th and 17th October 2004.

    The Self-Care cards are attractive and informative collectibles which contain easy-to-read tips on managing simple ailments such as cough, diarrhea and gastric problems. Other interesting facts include proper use of drugs in children and the elderly, effective drug use and storage, and how medicines are classified. These cards can also double up as postcards for our readers to send to their loved ones.

    PSS is also offering these free (while stock lasts) and useful patient information materials to healthcare institutions: polyclinics, hospitals and other retail pharmacies. Healthcare providers are strongly encourage to utilize these Self-Care cards to provide value-added services to patients.
