 | Celebrating 20 years of Singapore Pharmacy Congress - Unity in Diversity
The 20th Singapore Pharmacy Congress held at Singapore Expo on 25 & 26 Jul 2009 attracted a total of 418 delegates from Singapore and around the region. This year, we have the pleasure of Prof K Saktu, Director of Medical Services to grace the event and deliver the keynote lecture.

 | 20th SPC Aseptic Dispensing Course Since the first aseptic dispensing course was launched in 1988, aseptic dispensing and oncology pharmacy practice has come a long way.
Then the first oncology pharmacy practice was started in 1988 at National University Hospital, and in 1989, Singapore General Hospital follow suit.

No need to panic says HSA. Benefits of taking the drug outweigh risks
DOCTORS have been alerted to let patients on Tamiflu and their caregivers know that there is a remote possibility of adverse reactions to the drug, such as sudden and severe changes in behaviour.
Since 2005, six patients, most under the age of 16, have become disoriented or incoherent after taking the drug.

Indonesia's food and drug agency withdraws 60 traditional medicines
It claims products contain traces of dangerous chemicals.
The Food and Drug Supervising Agency (BPOM) has ordered the withdrawal of 60 traditional medicines and food supplements from the shelves and told its branches across the country to seek out and destroy the products it claims contains traces of dangerous chemicals.
BPOM chief Husniah Rubiana Thamrin said the products contained one or more of the substances sibutramin hydrochloride, sildenaphil citrate, tadalafil, dexametason, fenilbutason, mephenamate acid, metamphirone and paracetamol.
