Dear All,

2009 will be a challenging year for all of us in view of the economic climate. I am optimistic that we will weather through it.

More than one month after completion of the FAPA 2008 Congress, the memories still lingers and no forgetting that a number of back-end tasks have yet to be completed; but for now, we bring you the last part of the update from this event.

Being a professional organisation, it is essential that active participation by as many of the existing members, and more importanly, new members are needed to ensure perpetuity of the Society's continual relevance and effectiveness.
With a New Year dawning, may we gently remind our members to assist in the following 2 things:

The meltdown of financial institutions in the US, toxic mortgages, ethylene glycol instead of diethylene glycol; over-sulphated chondroitin sulphate instead of heparin; and now melamine in infant formula & processed food… Such have been the problems we face with our economy & food/drugs alike.
