This award give due recognition to pharmacists who have excelled in the area of industry pharmacy.  The award winner this year is:

Koh Oon Sim with Mr Koe Koon Poh, ICM MD

Citation for Koh Oon Sim

Oon Sim is a matured and dependable person with an affadable demeanour. She has been working in the pharma industry in various commercial positions after her pre-registration training at Guardian Pharmacy.

Over the years, she has assumed various roles in the pharma industry and rose
through the ranks in various multi-national research-based and generic drug companies.

In terms of contributions to the Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore, Oon Sim has been a very active member in various committees, and later served 3 consecutive terms as Council Member despite her hectic travels.

During her tenure as Council Member, she oversaw the CE programme which propelled PSS to becoming the SPB-accredited CPE provider. She was responsible for bringing in many industry/non-patient care-based CPE programmes to the offering of PSS CE series.

Her conscientious approach in dealing with the responsibilities assigned throughout her tenure in the PSS Council has been exemplary and that it has been inspirational for other aspiring Council Members, especially when she was holding the Honorary Treasurer role.

Oon Sim’s commitment to her work and her balanced focus to serve the PSS has been unparalleled. She is a capable and hardworking worker; and more importantly, she is a dedicated  pharmacist and a friend whom people enjoyed working with.
