Here's an announcement received via the FIP for the above research grant offered by WHO. Kindly note the closing date is 30-Sep-2009.
Dear FIP Member Organisations (and Observer Organisations), It is our pleasure to inform you that for the second consecutive year, WHO has organized a call for projects on patient safety. Last year, 21 projects were selected including one run by pharmacists. Through this call, WHO aims to stimulate research on patient safety by providing seed funding for small research projects focusing on applied research and in selected fields. The following topics have been selected for the 2009 call for projects:
WHO will provide between US$ 10 000 and US$ 25 000 per grant. Applications that attempt to identify local solutions, or evaluate the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of existing solutions are more likely to be selected. You can find more about the selection process and much more by referring to the enclosed document here. If you know pharmacists who could apply for these grants (apart from your organisation), don’t hesitate to share this information with them. Please keep in mind that the deadline for the submission of Patient Safety Grant is 30 September 2009. If you would like any further information on the process or if you would like FIP to help you with regards to your application to this Grant (e.g. review of the application before its submission), don’t hesitate to contact FIP staff at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it (preferably before 15 September 2009)
We will be happy to help you with this, as a benefit of your member organisation membership to FIP. Best regards
