This year’s AGM was held on 24-Mar-2009, and it marked the 103rd meeting since the inception of the PSS and her preceding organizations. Every AGM is a landmark, a time to reflect on what’ve been done; what in planning; and what need to be done going forward.

Some 75 members were invited to attend the AGM cum Appreciation Dinner, but many didn’t turn up mainly due to scheduling issues. All those present, including a number of Fellow Members, were treated to a buffet spread of food, friendship and fun. The evening then got into serious business as the Honorary Secretary – Dr. Alexander Chan – got everybody settled down from chewing the food to scrutinizing the reports, crunching the numbers, Q&A, thoughts and reflections etc.

The most anticipated finale is of course the nomination and election of new office bearers to the 103rd Council. 12 months have passed under the leadership of the current president – Fatimah MK – and the floor unanimously nominated Fatimah to continue to head the PSS for the second consecutive term.

Ms. Fatimah MK was elected to become the President of the 102nd Council and the Council was given the liberty to convene in the next Council Meeting to decide on the other office bearers.
