On the evening of April 11, PSS hosted an Appreciation Dinner at the Alumni Association to pay tribute to our members who have volunteered their energy, ideas, time and dedication to the various committees and workgroups.
The event was also an occasion to honour the outgoing Council members, many of whom have worked tirelessly for many consecutive years. It was also an exceptional opportunity where different “generations” of pharmacists gathered under one roof to exchange some thoughts and renew the close ties and friendship with one another; of course, a healthy spread of buffet dinner complete the evening with nobody walked away without fulfilling the basic physiological needs.

Past President & Current President delivered a pre-dinner speech. Without bucking the tradition, dinner like this would be deemed incomplete without speeches. Our newly elected Presideint, Fatimah MK, welcomed all the attendees and briefly shared the direction PSS intended to pursue during in the coming years. Our Immediate Past President, Ng Cheng Tiang, was given the honour and last official duty to acknowledge and commend the many members who have selflessly contributed in the various projects, committees, provided ideas and support. The NUSPS and the student leaders were also presented with recognition for their participations and help, especially during the Pharmacy Week events and the Singapore Pharmacy Congresses. We recognize that their primary objective has been to complete their studies and pass the exams to join the workforce; but their conviction for our professional activities has been exemplary and truly appreciated.
Catching up with years that have gone by.... Thank you all very much....
At the other end of our statutory working life cycle, we also have our very senior and retired members who have been with the PSS for decades, and yet still steadfastly contributing and advising the Society continually. We are indeed indebted and grateful to them. Such conviction and guidance serve to perpetuate and to further strengthen our resolve and inspire us to go the extra mile for our cause and customers. It is with such purpose that pharmacy profession will continue to flourish and develop; and it is through the PSS that we can have a platform where such professional voices and representation have a collective sounding board to continue our professional development and advancement. Our future pharmacists and leaders. **********
