After 44 years since the inception and foundation of the Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Association (FAPA), the organization has made tremendous strides to become one of the largest groupings for pharmacists across Asia. ![]() PSS President, Mr. Ng Cheng Tiang exchanging signed copy of MOU with FAPA President, Dr. Soo Ja Nam PSS has the honour to host this biennial Congress in November 2008, the 22nd on the FAPA calendar. In conjunction with this special event, the 12-member Bureau of the FAPA were here in Singapore between 8-11 March, 2008 to convene its meeting as well as to make selection for the outstanding pharmacists in Asia to receive the Ishidate Award.
![]() Meeting with FAPA Bureau PSS fielded 4 nominations and we are hopeful that we could have the additional honour to celebrate and recognize our colleague(s) in their achievement during the FAPA Congress where the Ishidate Awards will be presented.
During the Bureau members’ visit, we also officially signed the MOU to host the 22nd FAPA Congress; 2 years after the Japanese Pharmaceutical Association hosted the preceding one in Yokohama. FAPA was officially led by its President – Dr. Soo Ja Nam and PSS was led by the 101st President – Mr. Ng Cheng Tiang. ![]() Signing of MOU between PSS & FAPA Presidents.
