PSS  has  always been in the forefront of the quit smoking campaign through holistic smoking cessation management services which include elements of motivation, counselling and nicotine replacement therapy to those needed them; and to help bring greater awareness to the smokers’ family and the public as a whole about the danger of smoking.

High point of this year’s joint campaign with HPB and SATA showcases a series of 6 roadshows entitled “Quit Fix Your Smoking Habit Now”, whereby pharmacists from NHG and SingHealth clusters; together with colleagues from Guardian, Unity, Watson’s and student volunteers from NUS Pharmacy Department taking part.

The roadshow venues were at Waterloo Street Mall, Toa Payoh Hub, Ang Mo Kio Central, Bedok Central and Toa Payoh Hub.

DJs were on hand to dish out success stories of ex-smokers, and provide on-the-ground interviews with passer-bys who smoke and encourage them for a quit smoking consultation.

Let’s continue our fight against this deadly poison that continues to kill millions of people worldwide.
