It is with sad note that we bid goodbye to our veteran member, Mr. Koh Bok Seng, who served as President of PSS from 1969 to 1974.
Under his leadership, the late Mr. Koh led the Council in making many strategic contributions to the growth and progress of the profession. A number of industry-changing propositions were put forth which led to the mandatory label inclusion of the names of all active ingredients to be listed on the product labels. In addition, he also submitted a proposal for all members of the Pharmacy Board to be pharmacists. Both of these proposals were accepted. It was also under his presidency that PSS became members of the Commonwealth Pharmaceutical Association (CPA) and the Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations (FAPA). In years to follow, PSS also became members of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP)(1999) and the Western Pacific Pharmaceutical Forum (WPPF)(2001). The late Mr. Koh is dearly missed but shall never be forgotten as the one and a special kind of us. The full text of his eulogy can be read here. |
